Hello Resident

Just a quick update from your local police team about recent incidents in the city centre, where we have had several incidents of theft of jewellery and theft of mobile phones. Please be vigilant and for further advice about prevention, please see below:

Personal Safety & Street Robbery Prevention

Hide Valuables: Keep mobile phones and wallets out of sight. Do not leave items on café/pub tables.

Bag Security: Carry bags with the strap across your body, with fasteners facing you.

ATM and Phone Safety and Jewelry

ATM Vigilance: Be alert at cash points and cover your PIN. If someone approaches, leave immediately.

Phone Security: Do not leave phones in plain sight on tables and ensure they are not easily snatched from your hand

Keep it Covered: Always keep jewellery hidden under clothing when walking in public
